Colorado Affiliate Tax Legislation Imminent

by Scott Jangro on January 24, 2010

A bill was introduced to Colorado Legislation on Friday the 24th, Colorado House Bill 1193, that brings the Affiliate Tax to that state.

Here’s the pertinent section of the bill:

According to some folks in Colorado, there is a hearing on Wednesday January 27 to where a number of Colorado-based affiliate marketers will surely be rallying.

The Performance Marketing Association is very on top of this and will be helping by coordinating a grass-roots effort. You may remember what they accomplished in California. The same, with even more strength, can be done in Colorado with the guidance, experience, and coordination of the PMA.

Please register your support with the PMA. It costs nothing to do that. It may cost everything NOT to.

  • I already emailed my CO State Rep and Senator + one of the sponsors of this bill. "My" state rep will vote against the bill - I already have a response from him. Not sure if I can make it to the state capitol on Wednesday on such a short notice.
  • Glad to see it Christoph. and kudos to you for acting.
  • I am sorry, I am not from Colorado. Is there anything I can do to help?
