Major Changes at AffiliateVoice, Changing to AffiliateAdvocacy

by Scott Jangro on October 27, 2009

Today, Melanie Seery, president of AffiliateVoice, LLC announced that the name of the organization has changed to AffiliateAdvocacy and that the Board of Directors has dissolved.

One might speculate that this is a result of the ABW acquisition. After all, Haiko owns the affiliatevoice.com, affiliatevoice.net, and affiliatevoice.org domain names. Melanie owns AffiliateVoiceLLC.com and now AffiliateAdvocacy.com

I won’t speculate beyond that, and I suppose the story will present itself over the next several hours. You can follow along here and here. (and of course here.)

It is also not clear to me from her announcement whether she is continuing on as the membership organization or if this is Mellie going on her own. I’m sure paying members will be paying attention to this detail.

In any case, Mellie is a strong individual and I’m certain that she’ll continue to be a force in looking out for the best interests of the affiliate marketing industry.

Update: I’ve traded a quick email with Mellie and she confirmed that memberships remain with the newly named organization.

  • Hi Scott, thanks for your support.

I have changed the name to Affiliate Advocacy and all the memberships will continue. I will make an additional announcement in the next day or so regarding additional volunteer positions that will be available.

I will continue to work for the industry as I have been and look forward to working towards common goals. There is a lot of work for all of us!
