Affiliate Summit awards started in 2006 with two Legend awards. The first Affiliate Marketing Legend award was given to Wayne Porter at Affiliate Summit West. Since then the award has been named after Wayne: The Wayne Porter Affiliate Marketing Legend Award. (Wayne never liked that very much.) The next Legend Award was presented to Tim Storm of FatWallet.com at Affiliate Summit East, 2006.
Later in 2006, Shawn Collins and Missy Ward announced the Annual Pinnacle Awards to recognize the best in the industry. The first was presented at Affiliate Summit West in 2007.
