Verizon gets Free Branding with Videos in Google Sponsored Results

by Scott Jangro on November 12, 2009

I was searching for Droid Video in Google (I’ve been posting a lot recently about the Motorola Droid) and found something interesting, an embedded ad in the Google Sponsored links.

Maybe this has been around for a while now, but it’s new to me.

I would guess that the viewing of this video doesn’t actually cost Verizon (the advertiser) anything unless someone actually clicks through the ad.

This is some great free branding for Verizon.

  • I haven't noticed that either. Maybe Kristin is right. I typed in "iPhone video" and didn't see the same thing happen.
  • Maybe it is something that google is doing just for this special droid page since it's their phone? Special treatment?
